Valentine’s Day the Pinterest Way
Valentine’s Day…
This will be the first year that I consider this holiday a success. Oh, we do okay as a family: everyone is happy and satisfied with their few trinkets, candy, and lots of extra hugs and kisses.
But as a mom sending her kiddos off to their Valentine’s Day parties…not so much.
Our valentines are generally the store-bought variety…never the characters the kids requested and always what was on sale or still available on February 13. In my experience they are hard to work with, there is never enough room for a beginning writer to scribble his or her name, and they are not worth the money.
So this year I turned to the wellspring of all things creative and crafty. Yes, Pinterest.
We spent less money AND had more fun making these valentines and Paige’s Valentine “Tree” Box than we ever had with any previous valentine project!
That’s a win in my book.
And while these are not as polished as their original predecessors on Pinterest, they are full of ~Long~ charm and creativity. And they made for a fun family Friday night!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Great Job!
Thanks, Tina!
